Information we collect
The service may process your name, email, international WhatsApp number, pickup and delivery locations, map coordinates, floors and access details, load categories and notes, photos, proposed price, scheduled time, offers, matches, cancellations and request history. We also use limited technical information such as IP-derived security signals, browser/session data and event logs needed to prevent abuse and operate the service.
Why we use the information
We use it to create and recover your request, estimate routes, show the job to eligible drivers, receive live offers, complete a match, send transactional messages, support cancellations, protect the service, measure the English booking funnel and maintain operational and accounting records. Marketing messages are not part of the booking requirement.
What drivers see
Before a match, drivers receive approximate areas, rounded coordinates, vehicle/load requirements, photos and other job details needed to decide whether to offer. They do not receive your exact street addresses or full WhatsApp number. After you choose a driver, both sides receive the exact contact and location details needed to coordinate the service.
Service providers and disclosures
We use providers for hosting, database operations, transactional email, maps and routing, analytics, security and driver notifications. They process only the information needed for their role under their own security and privacy obligations. Information may also be disclosed when required by Colombian law, to investigate abuse or to protect users and the platform.
International numbers and provider locations
Customers may enter a WhatsApp number from any country, which is stored in international E.164 format. Some technology providers may process technical or transactional data outside Colombia. Using the English flow does not change the local Medellín nature of the requested transport.
Photos and precise location
Only upload photos that are necessary to describe the load. Avoid including identity documents, faces, keys, access codes or unrelated private information. Pickup and delivery coordinates are used to plan the request and are disclosed precisely only after a match.
Retention and security
We retain request, match, transaction and audit information for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal or operational obligations. We use access controls, authenticated private routes and pre-match data minimization, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
Your Colombian data rights
Under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and applicable rules, you may ask to know, access, update or correct your data; request proof of authorization where applicable; ask how it has been used; revoke authorization or request deletion when legally available; and submit a complaint to the competent authority after completing the required direct procedure.
How to submit a request
Email admin@acarreosmedellin.co with the subject “Privacy request.” Include your name, the email or WhatsApp number used for the request, the relevant public request code if available and a clear description of what you need. We may ask for reasonable verification before changing or disclosing data and will respond under the time limits required by applicable law.
Children and policy updates
The request service is intended for adults arranging local transport and is not designed to knowingly collect children's personal information. Material policy updates will be published on this page with a new effective date.
